The boys pave a driveway out of their stolen hash and Ricky tries to get back with his family.

Plot Synopsis

Teaser

The Boys describe their plan to heat up the hash and use it to pave a driveway on Ray's lot, hiding it in plain sight. Ricky and Bubbles think it is a stupid idea. Ricky argues with Julian about Cory and Trevor, who are helping and ignoring the peace bond with Ricky. He also takes issue with the fact that they are putting Ray on the line without telling him what their plans are. Julian responds by firing him and Ricky storms off.

Act One

J-Roc fills us in on his latest operation: stealing groceries from the local parcel pickup. Jim Lahey and Randy notice some of their paving equipment is missing. Ray talks about how he has finally paid off the mortgage on his trailer. J-Roc demands Ray pay his grocery bill, but he has spent all his money on video lottery terminals. Julian is staying with Ray and asks about some missing money.

Ricky plans a family barbeque with Lucy and Trinity and goes to J-Roc's, where he strikes a deal for some groceries and a grill in exchange for returning some of J-Roc's gear.

Act Two

Ricky visits Lucy and Sarah's trailer and they discuss Trinity's behavioral problems. He invites them to the barbeque. Lucy happily agrees. Julian tells Ricky that Ray stole his money and is concerned about his gambling. Ricky asks him to take Ray out that night and talk to him about it because Ricky will be spending time with his family.

Lahey relaxes in his trailer drinking bottled water, then leaves for a bridge game. Ricky picks up the turntables from Trinity and returns them to J-Roc, who has got him everything he asked for.

Later that night, the barbeque is in full swing. Bubbles has made himself some French fries. Julian, Ray, Bubbles, Cory, and Trevor then leave to visit a strip joint. Sarah takes Trinity home, and Lucy and Ricky hang out. Ricky burns some potatoes and goes inside Ray's trailer to make French fries instead. Then Ricky and Lucy drive off in the shitmobile, leaving the grease pot on the stove. It catches fire.

Act Three

At the strip club, Ray blows all the drink money on VLT machines and the now-broke guys leave, Cory and Trevor stuck with uncontrollable erections. Ricky and Lucy have gone back to their old makeout spot behind the muffler shop to have sex, and they are caught there by cops and sent away.

Driving back to the park, Julian and his group see police lights and find Ricky standing in front of what's left of Ray's trailer. The hash driveway is fine (except for everyone who investigates the scene walking close to and on it) but Ray's trailer has burned to the ground. Ricky says the fire was a random thing, but Detective Ted Johnson suspects it was started by grease. Everyone leaves and Ricky consoles his dad.

Background

  • This episode's title is spoken in dialogue (as many are), but is also based on a motto of Ray's, which he uses to explain away unfortunate happenings.
  • It is revealed that Ray brought the trailer with Tammy on a thirty five year mortgage, and that two weeks prior to this episode, he had finally paid it off.
  • When telling Lahey why he doesn't want to sleep at his trailer, Ray says "capeek" instead of "capiche"
